Sustainable Brands is the premier global community of brand innovators who are shaping the future of commerce worldwide.  Since 2006, their goal has been to inspire, engage, and equip business leaders and practitioners who see social and environmental challenges as an essential driver of brand innovation, value creation and positive impact.

Annually their conference brings together and enables sustainability, brand and innovation/R&D leaders to drive successful brand transformation that wins in the market by delivering meaningful value in today’s context and ensures readiness for tomorrow.

Launch of Sustainability Solutions

Procter & Gamble (P&G) has traditionally had a large presence at this conference and Sustainable Brands 22 (SB’22) was no different.  P&G brands and employees were featured on various panels and success stories were shared on the main stage.  Nearly every business unit within P&G was represented throughout the week.  P&G Ventures took the opportunity at SB’22 to launch its latest platform, Sustainability Solutions.

P&G Ventures is an early stage start up studio within P&G that partners with entrepreneurs to accelerate billion-dollar ideas that improve consumers lives.  Sustainability Solutions is a platform to share advantages from partners that are leveraging P&G technology to help solve the world’s toughest sustainability challenges at scale.  The platform is focusing on packaging, plastics, and supply chain.

Partner Highlight at SB ‘22

The initial three companies to be featured as part of this new platform are iMFLUX, PureCycle and Aeroflexx.  The unique thing about these companies is that for each, the original idea started within P&G.  iMFLUX is an innovative injection molding technology.  PureCycle is a first of its kind polypropylene recycling technology which returns the resin to a like new state via purification.  Aeroflexx is a flexible packaging solution that can replace rigid bottles for many liquids.

During the panel, representatives from each of the companies had the opportunity to speak about their respective technology.  As the focus was sustainability, the unique sustainability advantages of each technology were highlighted for the brands in attendance.

Unique Advantage for Brand Owners

iMFLUX specifically was able to speak to brand owners about how to utilize the technology within the supply chain to deliver results not only to the molder but to themselves as well.  There are three distinct sustainability advantages that can be realized with iMFLUX: energy savings, lighter weight parts/components and seamless incorporation of recycled content.  These advantages were recently verified by UL (link to come).

Kelly Santini, Sr. Sustainability & Safety Manager, made this point during the panel, “While the brand owners in this audience may not have direct injection molding operations, there are likely injection molding operations in your supply chain and as you work to achieve Scope 3 emission reductions, increase recycled content, or reduce virgin resin quantities – iMFLUX may be the answer for your supply chain molders.  Reach out and join us as we change the way the world molds.”
